The Southern California Comparative Political Institutions conference series consists of two to three conferences series a year, rotating among the institutions in Southern California (and occasionally beyond), bringing together scholars interested in the quantitative and formal study of political institutions. We are interested in papers on political institutions broadly speaking whether focused on a comparative analysis of political institutions or the effects of particular political institutions on individual behavior.
The format of the conference aims at creating an opportunity for in-depth discussion of the research presented and constructive exchange of ideas. The number of papers presented at the conference will, therefore, be limited to six or seven papers to allow sufficient time for discussion in both formal and informal settings.
