Call for Papers – SCPI-IX @ UCR, March 26, 2015

We would like to announce the call for papers for the ninth semi-annual Southern California Comparative Political Institutions (SC2PI) conference on March 26, 2015 at UCR.  The conference series rotates among institutions in Southern California, bringing together scholars interested in the quantitative and formal study of political institutions.

We are interested in papers on political institutions broadly speaking, whether focused on the comparative analysis of political institutions or the effects of political institutions on individual behavior.

Faculty and advanced graduate students are invited to submit papers. If you have a paper you would like to present, please provide a paper title and abstract by March 1, 2015 via email to scpi_ucr@scpi.politicaldata.org. Graduate students should indicate how far along in their program they are.  Please also respond if you are interested in serving as a discussant or simply attending the conference.  Announcement about paper acceptances and the conference program will be distributed through the SC2PI email list (sign up here on the right).

The first eight conferences in the series (held at UC-Riverside (x2), UCLA (x2), USC (x2), Claremont Graduate University, UCSB) have been very successful. We hope to continue that success and look forward to seeing you on March 26th.
