We would like to announce the call for papers for the tenth semi-annual Southern California Comparative Political Institutions (SC2PI) conference on February 19, 2016 hosted by David Fortunato at UC Merced.  The conference series has rotated among institutions in Southern California, bringing together scholars interested in the quantitative and formal study of political institutions, but is now extending its geographic reach. We are interested in papers on political institutions broadly speaking, whether focused on the comparative analysis of political institutions or the effects of particular political institutions on individual behavior. Faculty and advanced graduate students are invited to submit papers. If you have a paper you would like to present, please provide a paper title and abstract by December 15, 2015 via email to scpi_uc_merced@scpi.politicaldata.org. Graduate students should indicate how far along in their program they are. Please also respond if you are interested in serving as a discussant or simply attending the conference.  Announcement about paper acceptances and the conference program will be distributed through the SC2PI email list (sign up here on the right).
The first nine conferences in the series (held at UC-Riverside (x3), UCLA (x2), USC (x2), Claremont Graduate University, UCSB) have been very successful. We hope to continue that success and look forward to seeing you on February 19th.  And if you are in a position of influence at your institutions, please consider the possibility of hosting a meeting in the future.
