Call for Papers: SCPI-XII at CGU, February 17, 2017

We would like to announce the call for papers for the twelfth semi-annual Southern California Comparative Political Institutions (SC2PI) conference on February 17, 2017 hosted by Eunyoung Ha and Melissa Rogers at Claremont Graduate University.  The conference series rotates among institutions in (and occasionally beyond) Southern California, bringing together scholars interested in the quantitative and formal study of political institutions. We are interested in papers on political institutions broadly speaking, whether focused on the comparative analysis of political institutions or the effects of particular political institutions on individual behavior. Faculty and advanced graduate students are invited to submit papers. If you have a paper you would like to present, please provide a paper title and abstract by January 20, 2017 via email to scpi_cgu@scpi.politicaldata.org. Graduate students should indicate how far along in their program they are.  Please also respond if you are interested in serving as a discussant.   An announcement about paper acceptances and the conference program will be distributed through the SC2PI email list (you can sign up for email alerts here on the left).

The first eleven conferences in the series (held at UC-Riverside (x3), UCLA (x2), USC (x2), Claremont Graduate University, UCSB, UC Merced, UCSD) have been very successful. We hope to continue that success and look forward to seeing you on February 19th.  And if you are in a position of influence at your institutions, please consider the possibility of hosting a meeting in the future.
